Norway to provide €40 million grant to support Ukraine's energy resilience

Norway will allocate a 40 million euro grant to Ukraine to support energy resilience. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, as reported by UNN

Norway will provide a 40 million euro grant to support Ukraine's energy resilience. This will be an important contribution to Ukraine's ability to withstand Russian attacks and maintain the operation of vital services,

Shmyhal wrote.

He emphasized that Ukraine is moving towards a model of distributed generation and energy autonomy, where each element is capable of operating independently, and backup equipment and the speed of restoration become a significant security factor.

Ukraine's participation in the European energy space strengthens Europe, and deeper energy diversification and the development of cross-border infrastructure are a common response to modern challenges,

Shmyhal added.

He recalled that since the beginning of the year, Ukraine has received over 3,200 units of energy equipment and more than 312 million euros in contributions to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund.

As a reminder,

The government has allowed electricity producers of distributed generation to conclude direct contracts with consumers without mandatory auctions.
