The NOC of Ukraine has named the winners of the monthly "Athlete of the Month" award for April 2026. The winners are wrestler Oksana Livach and fencer Alina Dmytruk. This was reported by the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine and the National Olympic Team of Ukraine, according to UNN.

On April 29, 2026, a regular meeting of the Expert Commission of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine was held, where the laureates of the traditional "Athlete of the Month" contest were determined. After analyzing the performances of Ukrainian athletes at major international competitions during the second month of spring, the Commission named the winners

Oksana Livach was recognized as the Best Female Athlete of April 2026. She won a gold medal at the European Championships in Tirana in the weight category up to 50 kg. This is the athlete's third victory at the continental championships. Her mentor, Narek Budaghyan, was named Best Coach of the Month.

Fencer Alina Dmytruk became the Best Young Female Athlete of April 2026. She won a bronze medal in epee fencing at the World Cadet and Junior Championships in Rio de Janeiro. Andriy Orlikovsky was recognized as the best coach of the young athlete.

The NOC will also honor the sports organizations involved in the athletes' training, including the Ukrainian Wrestling Association, the "Dynamo" Sports Society of Ukraine, and the Ukrainian Fencing Federation.

Traditionally, the laureates of the sporting month will be awarded cash prizes, exclusive statuettes, and commemorative plaques from the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine during a solemn ceremony.
