New Prime Minister of Moldova spoke with Ukrainian counterpart for the first time and announced new agreements

Vasile Tofan held his first conversation with Serhiy Koretsky, assuring support for Ukraine. The sides agreed to intensify the construction of the Kosăuți-Yampil bridge and manage water resources due to the critical water level in the Dniester.
Prime Minister of Moldova Vasile Toffan held his first telephone conversation with the newly appointed Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Koretskyi, during which the sides discussed support for Ukraine and a number of joint infrastructure projects. Vasile Toffan reported this on his Facebook page, reports UNN.

According to the head of the Moldovan government, he assured his Ukrainian counterpart that Chisinau will continue to support Ukraine just as it has done since the first days of the full-scale war.
"I conveyed that the Republic of Moldova will continue to stand by Ukraine, as it has been since day one. I thanked for the courage and resilience of the Ukrainian people, who are defending not only the freedom of their country but also the security of our entire region,"
The prime ministers also discussed practical issues important for both states. In particular, they addressed the situation on the Dniester River due to a lack of precipitation and a critically low water level in the Novodnistrovsk reservoir. The sides agreed that under such conditions, it is necessary to manage water resources as responsibly as possible to prevent the situation from worsening.
Separately, the sides agreed to intensify the construction of the Cosăuți–Yampil bridge, which is intended to simplify crossing the Ukrainian-Moldovan border in the direction of Soroca and reduce travel time for citizens, carriers, and businesses.
Joint infrastructure projects and logistics
Also during the conversation, the prime ministers discussed cooperation between the railways of Ukraine and Moldova, particularly the transportation of Ukrainian grain to the Romanian port of Constanța. According to Toffan, more efficient railway infrastructure and better coordination could bring economic benefits to both countries, as well as provide additional revenue for the "Railway of Moldova."
"In recent years, relations based on trust, solidarity, and mutual respect have formed between Moldova and Ukraine. We want to turn these relations into as many concrete projects as possible that will make people's lives easier and the economies of our countries stronger,"
