Elon Musk proposed to create a commission on government efficiency if Trump is re-elected. Trump responded positively to the proposal, noting Musk's skills.
Billionaire Elon Musk has offered to take part in Donald Trump's administration if the former president is re-elected. In turn, Trump said he would be "happy" if Musk joined. He said this in an interview with Trump, UNN reports with reference to CNN.
"I think it would be great to have a government efficiency commission to look at these things and make sure that the taxpayers' hard-earned money is being spent well. I would be happy to help with such a commission," Musk said.
For his part, Trump said he would be "delighted" if Musk took part in the commission's work, noting that the billionaire is "great at cutting costs," mentioning the cost-cutting measures he has taken in his companies.
In May, The Wall Street Journal reported that Musk and Trump had discussed the billionaire's potential role in the Trump administration if he is re-elected, although Musk denied the report at the time.
