More than 300 tons of low-quality food did not reach the Ukrainian military

During the inspections, almost 340 tons of low-quality and dangerous food products intended for the Armed Forces of Ukraine were rejected due to non-compliance with regulations, lack of quality certificates, improper labeling and expired shelf life.
During the inspections, almost 340 tons of low-quality and dangerous products were rejected, which suppliers sent to military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense, UNN writes.
It is noted that the main reasons for non-admission were:
- non-compliance with regulatory requirements;
- lack of documents certifying the quality and safety of food products;
- violation of labeling or its absence;
- expired food products, etc.
The Ministry of Defense also added that, according to the law, products with at least one of the listed violations are considered dangerous.

The State Operator of the Logistics said that the quality of food supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine is controlled at all stages.
If a military unit receives substandard products, the head of the food service must draw up a report. In such a case, it is possible to bring the unscrupulous supplier to justice.
