Lviv says goodbye to Iryna Farion

A funeral service for linguist Iryna Farion is held at the Garrison Church in Lviv. She will be buried at the Lychakiv Cemetery, and the police are investigating the murder under several versions, including a 'Russian trace'.
Iryna Farion's funeral service is taking place at the Garrison Church in Lviv. Relatives, colleagues, fellow party members and supporters from different cities of Ukraine came to say goodbye to the linguist. This was reported by UNN with reference to Suspilne.

The funeral ceremony for the linguist began at 14:00. Farion will be buried at the Lychakiv Cemetery on the central alley, field 22, near the grave of Volodymyr Ivasyuk.

On July 19, an unidentified person shot at Iryna Farion, a linguist and professor at Lviv Polytechnic. The woman was taken to the hospital with a head wound in an extremely serious condition. In the hospital, Iryna Farion died.
Police have several versions of the murder of linguist Irina Farion, including public and political activities and personal animosity. Law enforcement officers found a shell casing after the shooting and do not rule out a "Russian trace" in the crime.
