Head of the CPD Andriy Kovalenko stated that Kostiantynivka is not under Russian control, calling the chief of the Russian General Staff a liar, who prepares separate maps for Putin. The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to defend the city.
Kostiantynivka is under the same control of Russia as Kupyansk was a year ago - that is, there is no Russian control there. This was reported by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (CCD), Andriy Kovalenko, reports UNN.

According to him, the chief of the general staff of the Russian Federation, Gerasimov, is a "liar, and he prepares separate maps and reports for Putin."

He emphasized that the Russian dictator "takes and voices lies, constantly creating a parallel reality for single-celled Russians, who, against the backdrop of a lack of fuel, need to be fed some kind of 'victory'."

Context
The day before, Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov reported that Kostiantynivka had been completely taken. Putin announced the creation of a "security zone" in the Kharkiv and Sumy regions.
Later, President Zelenskyy stated that Putin's claim about the capture of Kostiantynivka is false. He suggested Putin meet there for diplomatic solutions.
Later, the Russian Ministry of Defense proposed that Ukraine cease shelling of Kostiantynivka from 12:00 to 18:00 Moscow time on July 6.
