Yukhym Konoplya got injured in Saturday's friendly match of Borussia against Rot-Weiss Essen (2:1). After a foul, the Ukrainian suffered a partial rupture of the internal ligament of his right knee and will not be able to help the team in the coming weeks.
Sports director Ruwen Schröder stated: "We are all very sorry about Yukhym's injury. He started well with us as a newcomer, brought a lot of energy to the team and has already managed to show his qualities in training. But he is strong in character, immediately after the diagnosis he demonstrated a fighting spirit and is working on his return. Of course, we will provide him with all the necessary support."
