Intense snowstorms have cut power to 572 settlements in 12 regions of Ukraine, with traffic on 8 highways still blocked, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said on Tuesday, UNN reports.

The Prime Minister reminded that a round-the-clock headquarters for eliminating the consequences of road emergencies had been formed in advance. "It is actively working, accumulating the efforts of all critical services," the Prime Minister said.
Currently, more than a thousand vehicles of the Recovery Agency and the State Emergency Service are involved in the response to the bad weather, thousands of workers are working, and about a thousand heating stations have been deployed, Shmyhal added.
