A 39-year-old resident of the village of Velyka Omelyana contacted law enforcement reporting that a man had inflicted physical injuries on her minor son.
Preliminary investigations by the police established that a group of teenagers was relaxing in a gazebo in the village center. Around 4:00 PM, a physical education teacher passing by reprimanded them for their noisy behavior. Subsequently, a conflict arose between the man and the teenagers, during which the man struck a 16-year-old local resident in the abdominal area.
The minor, accompanied by his mother, sought medical attention at a healthcare facility, where he is currently undergoing an examination.
Addendum
According to the results of the sobriety test, it was established that the man was in a state of alcohol intoxication — 2.8 ppm.
Following the incident, the boy was taken to the hospital. The preliminary diagnosis is a contusion of the abdominal wall.
Based on the fact of intentional light bodily injury, investigators have initiated a pretrial investigation under Part 1 of Article 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Police are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
