Four men aged 17 to 42 beat a 38-year-old man to death in Odesa in revenge for a previous attack.

Law enforcement officers in Odesa detained four men aged 17 to 42 who had beaten a man to death. They did it out of revenge for the fact that the man had beaten the eldest of them a long time ago. This was reported by UNN with reference to the regional police.

The incident happened a few days ago in Kyivskyi district of Odesa. A 38-year-old man with signs of violent death was found at the entrance to a high-rise building on Ilf and Petrova streets. It is noted that he and his partner rented a room in an apartment in this building.

The offenders were identified and detained on the day of the crime. They were four local men aged 17 to 42.

As it turned out, the oldest of them had gathered a group of friends to take revenge on the townsman for beating him a long time ago. Having found out the address of their offender's residence, the accomplices waited for him to come home and mercilessly beat him in front of his roommate and the tenant of another room. Leaving the apartment, the offenders wrapped the victim in a curtain and took him to the entrance of the high-rise building.

The common-law wife called an ambulance, but the doctors who arrived at the scene pronounced her husband dead.

Preliminarily, the victim died as a result of a craniofacial injury combined with fractures of the ribs and chest. The final cause will be established by the results of a forensic medical examination

The detainees have already been notified of suspicion of grievous bodily harm that caused the victim's death. They could spend up to ten years in prison for this crime.

At the request of the police, the court imposed on the suspects a measure of restraint in the form of detention.
