Head of Chernihiv City Council Department detained
On November 30, the head of a city council department was exposed and detained in Chernihiv while trying to take a bribe totaling more than 140,000 hryvnias. This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine, according to UNN.
Details
The head of one of its departments was caught on bribery in Chernihiv City Council.
The official reportedly demanded a 10% kickback, which amounts to 142 thousand hryvnias, for signing certificates of completion and financial payments.
Yesterday, the offender was caught receiving a part of the illegal benefit, namely UAH 101,700, right on the street. He was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code and served a notice of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
