HACCU seizes crypto assets of Yuriy Shchyhol totaling almost one and a half million USD

The NABU and the SAPO have managed to freeze $1.5 million in cryptocurrency belonging to the former head of the State Special Communications Service, Yuriy Shchyhol, who is suspected of embezzlement. The High Anti-Corruption Court approved the decision to seize the assets on the crypto wallet.
NABU and SAPO seize $1.5 million in crypto assets. The NABU and the SAPO have secured the seizure of USD 1.5 million of crypto assets, that were found in the possession of the former head of the State Special Communications Service, Yuriy Shchyhol. The corresponding motion was upheld by the High Anti-Corruption Court. This was reported this was reported in the press service of the NABU, UNN reports.

According to NABU, the court seized the Tether USDT cryptocurrency in the amount of USDT in the amount of 1.2 million units (at the time of the exposure - USD 1.2 million), TRX in the amount of 331 units (USD 35) and 6.9 bitcoins (USD 275 thousand). All this money was in the crypto wallets of the former head of the State Special Communications Service, Yuriy Shchyhol.
It should be noted that the former official is suspected of embezzling 62 million UAH of of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine during the purchase of software.

In total, the SAPO and NABU documented three episodes of criminal activity in the State Special Communications at the State Special Communications Service. Five people were notified of suspicion.
