Glory to Ukraine Foundation liquidated in Kazakhstan by court order

A court in Atyrau, Kazakhstan, has ordered the liquidation of the Slava Ukraina fund for the victims of Ukrainian violence, citing an error in its registration.
In Atyrau, Kazakhstan, the Specialized Interdistrict Economic Court ruled to cancel the registration of the Glory to Ukraine charitable foundation. This was reported by the Kazakhstan International Bureau for Human Rights and Rule of Law, UNN reports.

The Glory to Ukraine Foundation was registered by the Department of Justice of the Atyrau Region on August 10, but on August 25, the same department filed a lawsuit to invalidate the state registration and force the organization to liquidate. It provided evidence that the organization's charter did not comply with the law.
During the period of its existence, the foundation has sent humanitarian aid to the victims of Ukraine in the amount of 5 million tenge (over 10 thousand US dollars).
"Perhaps our northern neighbors did not like it very much and our state received an order to get rid of it," said Turarbek Kusainov, the owner of the foundation.
