Generation Z trusts YouTube more than other social platforms, Business Insider reports, citing data from a new survey conducted in collaboration with YouGov, writes UNN.

According to a recent survey, of all the major social networks, YouTube leads among Generation Z adults. According to the survey, approximately 59% of Generation Z adults between the ages of 18 and 26 found YouTube to be somewhat or very trustworthy. Only 28% of people found it somewhat or very untrustworthy.

In second place was Instagram, which caused some controversy: it garnered 40% of Generation Z's votes for reliability, but also 45% for unreliability. (Among respondents, 15% said they were undecided).

Of the six platforms, Facebook is doing the worst, with 60% of Generation Z adults calling it somewhat or very untrustworthy. Only 28% of Gen Z identified it as trustworthy.

TikTok comes next: 57% of respondents consider it untrustworthy. In terms of trustworthiness rating, it performed slightly better than Facebook: 30% of Generation Z said that TikTok is somewhat or very trustworthy.

In July, Business Insider partnered with YouGov to survey more than 1,800 Americans across five generations. More than 600 respondents belonged to Generation Z, defined as people born between 1997 and 2012. Business Insider only surveyed those over the age of 18.
