The foreign ministers of the coalition are to prepare proposals for ceasefire control within three weeks. The military will assist Ukraine with future plans.

French President Emmanuel Macron said following the summit of the "coalition of the willing" in Paris that a decision was made today to instruct the foreign ministers of the coalition to prepare proposals on how to monitor the ceasefire, and also indicated that teams from France and Britain will be sent to Ukraine, UNN writes with reference to Sky News.

Details

Ministers have three weeks to present proposals on how a ceasefire can be monitored.

Macron said that "Great Britain and France will send a military delegation to Ukraine to work with the armed forces of Kyiv to help them with plans for the future."

In very specific terms, we have agreed that the Prime Minister of Great Britain and I will instruct our Chiefs of Defence to ensure that a Franco-British team is sent to Ukraine within a few days to work very closely with our Ukrainian partners.

- Macron said.

"They also agreed on this mechanism to prepare the format of the Ukrainian armed forces in the future, the army, navy and air force," he said.

"What format is needed in terms of the number of soldiers and what equipment and technology is needed to respond to future Russian aggression and deter any Russian aggression," Macron continued.

"This will allow us to move to the planning stage to clarify the contribution of each country that is part of our coalition to give Ukraine a clear idea of the exact plan of action that we want to implement," the French president said.

Addition

The Paris summit brought together about thirty countries of the European Union and/or NATO, ready to provide security guarantees to Ukraine in the event of a peace agreement with Russia, but the United States is not participating in this.

The meeting was to discuss the prospect of deployment of guarantee forces in Ukraine as part of a future peace settlement with the support of the United States.

After world leaders gathered in Paris for the summit of the "coalition of the willing" to support Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held first talks with French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

Zelenskyy previously noted that Ukraine expects more specifics from the summit of the "coalition of the willing" in Paris regarding which countries are ready to join the security guarantees for our state. In particular, it concerns the sending of a peacekeeping contingent.

Macron plans to use the leaders' meeting to discuss what he called a "force of reassurance" of European soldiers that could be stationed at strategic points throughout Ukraine to deter Russia from re-attacking after a peace is reached, adding that it could respond to any aggression.
