Law enforcement officers found a house that could have been used by the suspect in the murder of Irina Farion. A number of items that may contain evidence of the crime were seized from the premises.

In the forest on the outskirts of Lviv, law enforcement officers found a house that could have been used by Vyacheslav Zinchenko, a suspect in the murder of Irina Farion. UNN reports with reference to the court ruling.

On 21.07.2024, in the course of working out the ways of approaching and leaving the scene of the incident by a person who may be involved in the commission of this criminal offense, a house was found in the forest at GPS coordinates 49.8705586, 23.9897726, in which there could be things and objects that retained traces of a criminal offense

- the court said in its ruling.

Law enforcement officers found and seized them from the house:

⦁ a 2 liter plastic bottle, two paper cups, and a foil dish placed in a cardboard box;

⦁ a 2 liter plastic bottle placed in a cardboard box;

⦁ plastic food container, three paper disposable plates, two plastic plates, 17 disposable forks, 14 disposable spoons, and a ceramic plate, all placed in a paper envelope;

⦁ three plastic cups placed in a paper envelope;

⦁ two 1.5 liter plastic bottles, two 2 liter plastic bottles, and a plastic beaker, all placed in a cardboard box;

⦁ a mattress that is placed in a cardboard box;

⦁ two pillows, a bedspread, placed in a cardboard box;

⦁ an ashtray with four cigarette butts placed in a paper envelope;

⦁ a pack of Mark cigarettes placed in a paper envelope;

⦁ a cardboard box containing a candle, foil, two plastic cups, and a piece of paper, all of which are placed in the cardboard box.

On July 21, the investigative department for investigating crimes against life and health of a person of the Main Department of the National Police in Lviv region recognized the seized objects as material evidence in the criminal proceedings.

The Halytskyi District Court of Lviv seized the seized property on July 21 during an inspection of the house.

Addendum

On July 19, it was reported that an unknown person shot at Iryna Farion, a linguist and professor at Lviv Polytechnic. The woman was taken to the hospital with a head wound in an extremely serious condition. Iryna Farion died in the hospital.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that on July 25, an 18-year-old man was detained in Dnipro, who is allegedly involved in the premeditated murder of Iryna Farion.

According to Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, law enforcement officers have enough evidence to claimthat it was an 18-year-old man detained in Dnipro who shot at linguist Iryna Farion. According to him, the investigation lasted 139 hours.

Law enforcement is checking the suspect in the murder of Irina Farion for involvement in a neo-Nazi movement centered in Russia.
