Fallen trees and blocked roads: severe weather sweeps across several regions of Ukraine

Rescuers are clearing trees from roads in the Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, and Vinnytsia regions. There are no casualties as a result of the storm; the State Emergency Service urges people to be cautious.

Severe weather has swept across several regions of Ukraine; the State Emergency Service is eliminating the consequences and has shared photos, UNN reports.

"SES rescuers are eliminating the consequences of severe weather in the regions of Ukraine," the State Emergency Service reported on Friday.
According to the SES, consequences are being recorded in at least 3 regions:
- In the Zhytomyr region, due to wind gusts, trees fell onto highways in the Korosten and Zviahel districts, complicating traffic. Emergency workers promptly cleared the roadway;
- In the Cherkasy region, SES employees were deployed five times due to the weather. In two districts of the region, as well as in the regional center, rescuers removed fallen trees from the road;
- In the Vinnytsia region, SES units were deployed 15 times to eliminate the consequences of the severe weather.
"Fortunately, there were no casualties," the SES stated.
The SES urged people to be cautious during deteriorating weather conditions:
- do not stay near trees, billboards, or power lines;
- do not park cars under old trees;
- in case of danger, call "101".
