Exchange rates for May 7: the dollar fell to 43.85 hryvnia, while the euro and zloty rose

The NBU lowered the dollar rate to 43.85 UAH, while the euro and zloty became more expensive. In banks, the American currency is trading at a rate of 43.65-44.15 hryvnia.

As of Thursday, May 7, the National Bank of Ukraine has set the official exchange rate at 43.85 hryvnia per dollar. The official rate on Wednesday was 43.97 hryvnia per dollar. The official exchange rate of the hryvnia to the euro will be 51.61. This is reported by UNN with reference to NBU data.

The official dollar exchange rate is: 43.8528 UAH (-12 kopecks) per dollar. The NBU also set the official euro to hryvnia exchange rate at: 51.6147 UAH (+21 kopecks) per 1 euro. The official zloty exchange rate is: 12.1983 UAH (+12 kopecks) per 1 zloty.
According to data on specialized websites, as of 08:00 on Thursday:
- in banks, the dollar is trading at a rate of 43.65-44.15 UAH, the euro at 51.22-51.85 UAH, and the zloty at 11.80-12.40 UAH;
- on the interbank market, rates are 43.86-43.89 UAH/USD and 51.55-51.58 UAH/EUR.

The National Bank of Ukraine downgraded its inflation forecast for the end of 2026 from 7.5% in the January forecast to 9.4%, and Ukraine's GDP from 1.8% to 1.3%.
