Exchange rate on April 7: National Bank strengthened the hryvnia

The National Bank of Ukraine has set the official hryvnia exchange rate at 41.1941 UAH/USD. The dollar exchange rate in banks and exchange offices fluctuates within the range of 40.87-41.42 UAH.
The National Bank of Ukraine has set the official exchange rate of the hryvnia at the level of 41.1941 UAH/USD today, which strengthened the hryvnia by 15 kopecks, UNN reports with reference to the NBU data.
Details
The official dollar exchange rate is 41.19 UAH/USD. The NBU also set the official euro exchange rate against the hryvnia at the level of 45.55 UAH/EUR.
According to data on specialized websites, as of 08:40:
- in banks, the dollar is traded at the rate of 41.42-40.90 UAH, and the euro at 45.80-45.00 UAH;
- in exchange offices, the dollar is traded at the rate of 40.87-41.00 UAH, and the euro - at 45.20-45.45 UAH;
- on the interbank market, the rates are 41.13-41.16 UAH/USD and 45.29-45.30 UAH/EUR, respectively.

Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Taras Kachka stated that the new duties of US President Donald Trump may be a truly global trade war, and then Ukraine will need to preserve all free trade agreements that exist, primarily with the EU, to protect its markets. Also, the US decision may push for new global negotiations within the framework of the World Trade Organization.
