The European Gymnastics Federation has rejected a proposal to allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to return to competition, despite the decision of the International Federation.
The General Assembly of European Gymnastics did not approve the return of athletes from Russia and Belarus to their competitions. This was announced by the organization on its page on the X network, UNN reports.
Representatives of European Gymnastics voted against allowing athletes and officials from Russia and Belarus to return to official competitions in European gymnastics from January 1, 2024, thus not fulfilling the FIG's decision,

The International Federation decided in July to allow Russians and Belarusians to compete in a neutral status.
