A leading specialist in the mobilization department in Kyiv, offered a $300 bribe for his services to postpone military service.

Investigators of the Kyiv police headquarters exposed a leading specialist of the mobilization department of one of the capital's district territorial centers for recruitment and social support in a corruption scheme, offering $300 for his services. This was reported by the Kyiv police, according to UNN.

Investigators of the Kyiv Police Main Department jointly with the Strategic Investigations Department in Kyiv and under the procedural supervision of the Specialized Defense Prosecutor's Office of the Central Region exposed a leading specialist of the mobilization department of one of the Kyiv district recruitment and social support centers in a corruption scheme,

The police found out that a representative of a Kyiv-based company had approached the JV TCC employee with a request to register their future employee for military service. The man himself lived in Dnipro and had to come to the capital, and to be officially employed, he needed to be registered with the military.

The TCC worker assured the interlocutor that his employee would be mobilized for military service immediately, but offered to give him $300 to influence his superiors to grant the Dnipro resident a deferral.

In the course of the investigation, law enforcement officers documented the criminal offer and served him a notice of suspicion under Part 2 Art. 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The offender faces up to five years in prison.
