Calls for the removal of President Trump from office reached a crescendo among Democrats in Congress on Tuesday after he threatened that "an entire civilization will die tonight." This was reported by Axios, informs UNN.

It is noted that lawmakers are openly proposing impeachment or even removal via the 25th Amendment – a stark contrast to the strict taboo against such procedures at the beginning of Trump's second term. His strikes on Venezuela, and now on Iran, have rallied Democratic lawmakers around measures such as impeachment.

In turn, Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN) wrote in her post on X: "This is not normal. Invoke the 25th Amendment. Impeach. Remove. This madman must be removed from office."
By evening, more than 50 House Democrats, as well as Senators Ed Markey and Ron Wyden, had called for Trump's removal from office through impeachment or under the 25th Amendment.

The 25th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution allows the Vice President and a majority of Cabinet members to temporarily remove a president who is "unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office."
The removal must then be supported by a two-thirds vote of each house of Congress.
