Four people, including two children, were killed in a collision between a school bus and a train on Tuesday morning in northern Belgium, Belgian authorities reported, according to UNN citing Le Soir.

At a press conference this Tuesday at noon, authorities confirmed the deaths of two adults, aged 27 and 49, and two teenagers, aged 12 and 15, in the accident. Five other children sustained serious injuries, but their condition is stable.
Belgian Deputy Prime Minister Maxime Prévot confirmed that four people, including two children, died as a result of this "tragic collision."

"The prosecutor's office has launched an investigation into the circumstances of the accident. We have brought in a traffic expert to determine the causes of the crash," said a spokesperson for the prosecutor's office.
