In Kharkiv, law enforcement officers shut down an underground gambling establishment that operated under the guise of a grocery store. This was reported by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, UNN reports.

According to the investigation, a 49-year-old man organized an illegal gambling business in a non-residential building on Vladyslav Zubenko Street in Kharkiv, equipping it with slot machines. To avoid attention, he installed "FOOD" and "ICE CREAM" signs on the building.
During the search, law enforcement officers seized not only slot machines but also counterfeit alcohol. At the moment, a motion to seize the property has been filed with the Kyiv District Court of Kharkiv.
Upon completion of the expert investigations, the offender will be served a notice of suspicion.
