Passenger traffic at the Lviv region border increased by 25% before Christmas. The highest load is observed at the Krakivets, Shehyni, Smilnytsia, and Nyzhankovychi checkpoints.

During the pre-Christmas period, passenger traffic at the Lviv border increased by 25%. This indicates a slight preference for citizens leaving Ukraine, although the total flow of passengers increased both inbound and outbound. This was reported by UNN with reference to SBGS

Details

The highest load is observed at the Krakivets, Shehyni, Smilnytsia and Nyzhankovychi checkpoints. Hrushev, Uhryniv, and Rava-Ruska checkpoints are slightly less busy.

Border guards ensure rhythmic work and fast clearance of people and vehicles. However, waiting times may depend on the work of related services in neighboring countries.

The SBGS recommends choosing less busy checkpoints for faster border crossing.

Recall

On the western borders of Ukraine, queues have formed at most checkpoints.
