Cherkasy region exposes drug gang: more than 40 people arrested for amphetamine production and cannabis cultivation

In Cherkasy region, law enforcement officers exposed a criminal group of more than 40 people who were engaged in the production of amphetamine and cannabis cultivation, earning up to UAH 5 million a month. The group members were charged and face up to 12 years in prison.
In Cherkasy region, law enforcement officers exposed a criminal organization that produced amphetamine, grew hemp, and illegally earned up to UAH 5 million a month by selling these products. This was reported by the National Police, according to UNN.

Two residents of Cherkasy organized a criminal group with more than 40 members. The organization was engaged in the cultivation of hemp, production of amphetamine and drug trafficking.
Hemp was grown on several plots in the Kaniv district, as well as in the apartments of several defendants. The so-called amphetamine production workshop was located in Cherkasy itself and allowed the production of up to 10 kg of "phen" per month.
The products were delivered to the packaging places, where a separate group prepared the goods for further sale and transfer to drug couriers. They sold illegal substances by bookmarking and hand-to-hand to residents of Cherkasy and the region.
The drug business brought its organizers up to 5 million hryvnias per month.
Currently, 40 members of the criminal organization have been served suspicion notices and custody has been chosen as a measure of restraint. They face up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
