Ukrainian intelligence supports the Pope's call for a prisoner exchange based on the "all for all" formula. However, one thing remains to be done - to convince Russia. This was announced by the head of the GUR Kyrylo Budanov in an interview with ARD, and added that the central mediator in the exchange of prisoners of war is no longer Turkey, but the UAE, reports UNN.

Details

Budanov supported Pope Francis' Easter initiative to exchange all Russian prisoners for all Ukrainian ones.

I fully support this. Let's do it. There is one small thing left: to convince Russia,

- Budanov said.

At the moment, Budanov sees no interest from the Russian side in such an action.

Budanov also said that the central mediator in the exchange of prisoners of war is no longer Turkey, but the United Arab Emirates.

Addendum

In his Easter message, the Pope called on Russia and Ukraine to conduct a prisoner exchange based on the formula "all for all.

The Coordination Center for the Treatment of Prisoners of War stated that Ukrainian officials have repeatedly stated their readiness to conduct a prisoner exchange on the principle of "all for all", but the aggressor country is unwilling to return its people.
