Singer Beyoncé performed during the halftime show of the NFL Christmas game on Netflix along with invited guests. This is reportedly part of her $60 million contract with the streaming service.

Beyonce has reportedly received a huge fee for her halftime performance during the NFL's Christmas Day game on Netflix, taking home $20 million for her 13-minute musical extravaganza, UNN reports citing the Daily Mail.

Together with special guests Shaboozey, Post Malone and her 12-year-old daughter Blue Ivy, Beyoncé took the field at NRG Stadium in her hometown of Houston in the middle of the Ravens' game against the Texans.

The information that Beyoncé earns more than $1 million per minute for her time on Netflix is only a rumor and has not been confirmed by the streaming network or the Cowboy Carter singer.

The $20 million figure is taken from social media, and several people claim that this staggering sum is part of a larger deal between Beyoncé and Netflix.

The performance divided football fans on social media, with some claiming that the performance was worthy of the Super Bowl rather than a regular season game.

Others, like Barstool boss Dave Portnoy, criticized the halftime show, saying: "Beyoncé has been lost since Destinys Child," he wrote on X, referring to the pop group she used to be in with Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.

The 43-year-old star reportedly signed a contract for three projects with the streaming giants in 2019, which is now two-thirds complete.

The first part was a documentary showing her 2019 performance at Coachella, which earned her $20 million.

So far, the second installment has brought her two-thirds of her contractual earnings. It's unclear what the last part of her $60 million deal will be, although some wouldn't mind a repeat performance on Netflix's next NFL show.

Addendum

Beyoncé's halftime show during the Texas-Ravens game was also her first performance since her husband Jay-Z was accused of rape and music mogul and disgraced rapper Sean Diddy Combs was accused of raping a 13-year-old girl at a party after the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards in New York.

Jay-Z has strongly denied the charges, and Diddy's lawyer, who is currently awaiting trial and behind bars on charges of human trafficking for sexual exploitation, conspiracy to commit extortion, and transportation for prostitution, has also denied the charges.

It was also her first performance since she last took the stage in October 2023 to wrap up her highly successful Renaissance World Tour at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
