Russian Guard militant Magomed Uzdorbiyev tortured a female starosta with electric shock and a pipe in a seized gymnasium in Luhansk region. The SBU has served him with a war crimes notice.

Magomed Uzdorbiyev, a fighter with the Akhmat special rapid response unit of the Russian Guard, tortured a woman in Luhansk Oblast using electric shocks and a metal pipe. The SBU established that Uzdorbiev, together with his accomplices, participated in the capture of the village of Makeyevka at the beginning of a full-scale invasion. He is also involved in the torture of civilians.

On April 12, 2022, after the invaders found patriotic photos on the computer of the local headman, they abducted the woman and transported her to a prison set up in the captured gymnasium. There Uzdorbiev, along with other "kadyrovites", tortured the victim with electric current and a metal-plastic pipe, and also demanded information from her about the Ukrainian military and the places of storage of Ukrainian flags. After several hours of torture, the woman was released with a threat of murder, but she managed to escape to the territory controlled by Ukraine, without providing the enemy with any information.

The forensic medical examination confirmed the serious injuries received by the victim. The SBU informed Uzdorbiev of suspicion for violating the laws of war and ill-treatment of civilians. The investigation continues.
