The bad weather blocked traffic on 14 highways and partially cut power in 16 regions of Ukraine. Rescuers provided assistance to more than 1,600 people, including children, and evacuated vehicles, including stuck buses and emergency vehicles
Traffic is blocked on 14 highways across Ukraine amid bad weather, and power outages have been cut in 16 regions, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said on Monday, UNN reports.

"Traffic is blocked on 14 highways, and power is cut off in 16 regions," Klymenko wrote on Telegram.
The Interior Minister provided an update on overcoming the consequences of the bad weather:
Odesa region: the most difficult situation is in the north and south of the region: snow drifts reach one and a half meters. Rescuers, police, national guardsmen, and border guards are involved in the relief efforts.
Near the village of Udobne, border guards evacuated 42 people, including 10 children, from buses. Rescuers used a snowmobile to rescue 6 people on the Izmail-Reni highway.
More than 500 vehicles were towed away, including 14 buses and 12 emergency vehicles.
1624 people, including 93 children, were provided with assistance. Six people were treated for hypothermia.
Mykolaiv region: traffic is blocked on 10 sections of roads, with snowdrifts reaching 2 meters. SES units were engaged 49 times to eliminate the consequences of the weather, 75 cars were towed away.
Cherkasy region: traffic is hampered near the town of Kamyanka. Police organized traffic in reverse, about 40 trucks were stopped for a while. Rescuers deployed mobile heating stations.
Kirovograd region: a traffic jam has been cleared near the village of Velyka Vyska, 30 trucks are standing on the roadside. 164 vehicles have been towed away, 293 people have been helped.
"Consequences of the bad weather: a total of 2019 settlements in 16 regions of Ukraine are without electricity, 1370 trucks are in temporary storage, 840 vehicles have been towed away," the minister said.
The Interior Minister urged drivers to avoid traveling to regions where bad weather is raging.
