Austria has repeatedly condemned Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine and summoned the Russian ambassador more than 10 times in

defend the sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine
for as long as necessary.

The statement also emphasized that Austria has supported
and joined all 12 EU sanctions packages since the beginning of the war, and the country is ready to take further measures in the future, in particular to prevent the circumvention of sanctions and close loopholes.
The country's foreign ministry recalled
the important and comprehensive contribution of Austria to support Ukraine and especially
the affected neighboring countries.
