Audrey Hepburn lived in the Swiss house La Paisible for 30 years. Its name translates as "Peaceful".
The house, more like an estate, is located in the picturesque village of Tolochenaz, near Lausanne. It was built in the 18th century, has three floors, which housed 12 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. Its area exceeds 1000 square meters.
Antique details such as terracotta floors, oak parquet and five fireplaces are combined with modern finishes after the renovation in 2021. The house also has two covered garages and outdoor parking for approximately 15 cars.
The house has five entrances, one of which serves as an entrance to a "service apartment" with two bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen integrated into the main house.
The 16,000 square meter park around the house is dotted with centuries-old trees and has a private heated outdoor pool.
