According to Zelenskyy, before the war, Ukraine received neither weapons nor financial aid from the United States, but after the start of the full-scale invasion, allies understood that Russia would not stop only at Ukraine.
At the very beginning of the war, essentially, no one was with us. Before the war, we had no weapons or money from the United States. It was an internal decision of our partners — to help or not. But when we held out, the world realized that Russia would not stop at Ukraine
Zelenskyy emphasized that it was after this that international support for Ukraine became much more extensive, as partners saw in the Kremlin's actions a threat not only to Ukraine but also to all of Europe and international security.
