Armenia will not participate in the CSTO meeting in Moscow

Armenian National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan will not attend the CSTO meeting in Moscow on December 19.
The Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, will not take part in the offsite meeting of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Council to be held in Moscow on December 19. This was reported by the press secretary of the chairman of the Armenian parliament, Tsovinar Khachatryan, the Novosti Armenia agency reported, according to UNN.
The delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia will not take part in the meeting either. Alen Simonyan informed the Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin about his decision not to go to Moscow by an official letter,

Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan did not attend the CSTO summit in Minsk on November 23. Armenian officials also did not participate in the meetings preceding the CSTO Council session with the participation of the foreign and defense ministers and secretaries of the CSTO Security Council.
In October, Pashinyan said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal that Azerbaijan's aggressive actions and the CSTO's inaction led Armenia to decide to diversify its security relations. At the same time, Yerevan claims that the issue of the country's withdrawal from the CSTO is not currently being discussed.
