April snow covered Ukraine: which regions have winter returned to

Heavy snowfalls are observed in the western regions of Ukraine, despite the fact that it is already April on the calendar. Snow was recorded in Volyn, Lviv, Rivne, Khmelnytsky, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk and Zakarpattia regions. Ukrainians have begun to actively share photos and videos of snow-covered cities. Snow also covered the Lviv region. In particular, in Lviv, precipitation began on April 5. In addition, in the Halych district of Lviv, a storm knocked down trees on parked cars. However, according to the first deputy mayor Andriy Moskalenko, there were no casualties.

In the Rivne region, snow covered villages, in particular, Derazhne, and in the Ternopil region there were "winter" mornings.

 It also snowed in Khmelnytsky, and Halych, Vorokhta and Ivano-Frankivsk were covered in snow in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.

Zakarpattia also found itself in the clutches of the snowstorm — the city of Uzhhorod was covered in snow, and residents were reminded that although it is April on the calendar, winter has not yet retreated.

Bad weather also visited the Odesa region. For example, in the city of Podilsk, despite the fact that it is the beginning of April, snowfall was recorded.

Ukrhydrometeorological Center reported that today, April 6, moderate sleet is expected in the Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions during the day, ice on the roads, daytime temperature 1-4° above zero.
