In the city of Irpin, two multi-storey buildings where 50 apartments were damaged during the Russian invasion have been restored. The project was implemented under the UNITED24 program under the supervision of the United Nations, with a cost of about UAH 33 million.
In Irpin, Kyiv region, two apartment buildings damaged by Russians at the beginning of the full-scale invasion were restored. 50 apartments were literally destroyed. The highest floors suffered the most. They were rebuilt under the UNITED24 program, under the supervision of an international UN missile defense observer. The customer is the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, reports UNN.
"...About ... 13 million was spent on building 104a. For house 106, almost 20 million was spent entirely on restoration - both for external works and internal works, as well as internal works on apartments... We are working on other houses. We have restoration works, all the contractors who were selected through the ProZorro tender procedure, they are all launched, all are working..." said Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.
Restoration work on the two buildings lasted almost a year. In addition to the premises, all damaged communications were repaired. And the residents themselves expressed the greatest joy at the completion of the reconstruction.
"...it was very difficult for us. We left here with four bags... With four packages in our hands, we went to visit our grandmother. And when we were told, it was a bit of a shock for us... I'm sorry. And when we finally got... the restoration, it was... really a gift for us...", said Yulia, the owner of the restored apartment.
Reconstruction work in the city does not stop. However, the organizers of the reconstruction note that despite the war, the work will be completed as soon as possible.
"...Today you see the sixth result - the sixth house that we are putting into operation. We are continuing this work and will soon complete all 18 apartment buildings, as well as three educational institutions under this UNITED24 program... First of all, I would like to thank the President and the government for this tremendous opportunity to rebuild our Kyiv region during the war," Kravchenko emphasized.
Similar projects are underway across the country. And, as international observers have noted, Ukraine manages to show good results in the restoration of residential facilities even during the war.
