Redwire has supplied Ukraine with more than 200 Penguin drones for reconnaissance and patrolling. The systems have been combat-proven and are included in U.S. aid packages.

The American company Redwire reported that it has delivered over 200 Penguin unmanned systems to the Armed Forces of Ukraine since 2022. The company stated this on social media, as reported by Defense Blog, according to UNN.
Details
Redwire called the Penguin an "integral element of Ukraine's defense against Russia" and noted that the platform has been combat-proven in the conditions of full-scale war. This is one of the most specific public indicators of the use of Western drones by the Ukrainian military.
The Penguin drone was developed by Edge Autonomy, which is part of Redwire. The UAV belongs to the fixed-wing platform category and is designed for reconnaissance, surveillance, and long-endurance patrolling. The company emphasizes that the system is capable of operating for hours and covering large areas.
Drones are being used in the Donetsk region
According to Defense Blog, combat footage of the Penguin in operation was filmed in the Donetsk region, where some of the most intense fighting is taking place. The publication notes that the operation of drones in this region is complicated by the active use of Russian electronic warfare systems.
The Penguin C was included in US military aid packages for Ukraine twice – in July 2023 and December 2024. The article notes that the separate inclusion of a specific system in American aid packages indicates the platform's proven effectiveness in combat conditions.
