According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian defenders are holding back the pressure of the occupiers. The Pokrovsk direction was the most active, where 53 battles took place.
166 battles took place on the front last day, almost a third - in the Pokrovsky direction, the enemy is also active in the Toretsky and Lyman directions, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in the morning report on March 21, showing a map of hostilities for March 20, writes UNN.

Yesterday, the enemy launched two missile strikes using three missiles at the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, as well as 94 air strikes, dropping 151 KABs. In addition, he carried out 6449 shellings, including 187 from rocket salvo fire systems, and involved about three thousand kamikaze drones to hit.
"Over the past day, aviation, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces hit 11 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, two air defense systems, two artillery systems, a ammunition depot and one enemy pontoon crossing," the report said.
Situation by directions
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy tried nine times to break through the defensive lines of our defenders near the settlements of Kindrashivka, Mala Shapkivka, Hlyboke and Vovchansk.
In the Kupyansk direction, eight attacks by the invaders took place yesterday. Our defenders repelled the enemy's assault actions in the areas of Pishchane, Ivanivka, Kruglyakivka, Zagryzovo, as well as in the direction of Petropavlivka.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 22 times. He tried to wedge himself into our defense in the directions of Novy, Novomykhailivka and near Yampolivka, Kopanok and Nadiya.
In the Siversky direction, the enemy made three attempts to move forward in the area of Bilohorivka, as well as in the directions of Verkhnyokamyanske and Ivano-Dar'ivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers attacked four times in the areas of Minkivka, Stupochki and towards Oleksandro-Shultine and Predtechine.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out 25 attacks near the settlements of Dachne, Druzhba and Toretsk.
In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 53 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Panteleimonivka, Oleksandropil, Zelene Pole, Tarasivka, Yelyzavetivka, Novotoretske, Promin, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Zvirove, Kotline, Udachne, Preobrazhenka and Andriivka, as well as in the directions of Muravka and Kotlyarivka.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy carried out 15 attacks in the direction of Shevchenko and in the areas of Vilny Pole, Konstantynopol and Rozliv during the past day.
In the Orikhiv direction, the occupation forces went forward four times to the positions of our defenders towards Shcherbaki and Stepovoy.
In the Hulyaypilsky and Prydniprovsky directions, no combat clashes took place last day.
In the Volyn and Polisky directions, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.
"The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue the operation in the Kursk region. Last day, the enemy launched 18 air strikes, dropping 27 KABs, carried out 363 shellings, four of which were from MLRS. Ukrainian defenders stopped 18 assault actions of the invaders," the report said.
