Air Defense Shot Down 102 out of 124 UAVs During Night Attack on May 23

On the night of May 23, air defense forces destroyed 102 enemy drones of various types. Twelve hits were recorded across nine locations, and debris fell in five others.

On the night of May 23, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with 124 strike UAVs of the Shahed type (including jet-powered ones), Gerbera, Italmas, and "Parody" type decoy drones. This was reported by UNN with reference to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The attacks originated from the Russian cities of Kursk, Shatalovo, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from the settlement of Hvardiiske in occupied Crimea.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare (EW) units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 08:30, air defense forces shot down or suppressed 102 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types, as well as drones of other types in the north, south, and east of the country. At the same time, 12 strike UAV hits were recorded at 9 locations, and the falling of downed drones (debris) was recorded at 5 locations.
