The development of unmanned systems is of key importance for achieving superiority in the war with Russia. This was reported by UNN with reference to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi.

Details

During a monthly meeting on the development of unmanned systems, Syrskyi, together with the commanders of the branches of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, separately analyzed the implementation of the program for striking the enemy at operational-tactical depth using Middle Strike assets.

The Commander-in-Chief noted: in May of this year alone, the Defense Forces carried out almost 2,000 strikes using Middle Strike assets. Also, 414 enemy headquarters, command posts, concentration areas, and other important enemy targets were hit, according to Syrskyi's report.

In the direction of FPV drones, the Defense Forces of Ukraine outperform the enemy in a ratio of 1.5 to 1, and over the recent months, this advantage has continued to grow in our favor

- stated the Commander-in-Chief of the AFU.

He also added that in May, the unmanned systems units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine hit almost 180,000 verified enemy targets. This is 12.7% more than in April.

About 4,000 Russian "Shahed" type drones were neutralized, which is 27% higher than the previous month's figure. Also, about 10,000 positions of enemy unmanned aerial system operators were hit

- emphasized Syrskyi.

In total, since the beginning of this year, Ukrainian UAV operators have neutralized 12,500 more occupiers than the Russians recruited into their armed forces during the same period.
