About 2 million elements of Ukraine's cultural heritage under Russian occupation

The minister of Culture said that about 2 million elements of the cultural heritage of Ukraine are under occupation. 1.7 thousand cultural institutions were destroyed, and stolen artifacts appear on the black market.
About 2 million Ukrainian elements of cultural heritage are currently under Russian occupation. This was announced by the minister of culture and strategic communication Mykola Tochytsky during the International Forum "diplomacy today: the role of Ukraine in global politics", reports UNN.
"Where is our original enemy aiming? It not only targets homes, not only takes territories, it targets our identity. About 2 million of our cultural heritage elements are now under occupation," Tochitsky said.
He noted that due to Russian aggression, about 1.7 thousand art and cultural institutions in Ukraine have already been destroyed.

Tochytsky reported that about 1.7 million cultural artifacts remain in the occupied territories of Ukraine.
The Prosecutor General's office reportedthat artifacts stolen from Ukrainian museums and archaeological sites began to appear on the international black market.
