The Ukrainian president said that Orban's relations with Putin are too “warm” for effective negotiations. Zelenskyy emphasized that the Hungarian prime minister has no mandate for such talks.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban's relations with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin are too "warm" to put the Russian tyrant in his place. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a press conference in Brussels, UNN reports.
"I did not have a conversation with the Hungarian Prime Minister. I think it is very frivolous when we talk about certain initiatives that are related to the lives of Ukrainians. I have already said that with all due respect to the Hungarians, Mr. Prime Minister has no mandate to negotiate. His relationship with Putin is too "warm" to put Putin in his place," Zelenskyy said.
He emphasized that it is very important to preserve Ukraine, its independence, sovereignty and to preserve Europe.

Orban claimedthat he had offered Ukraine a "Christmas truce" and a prisoner exchange, but, according to the Presidential Office, Ukraine was not informed of such initiatives. The Presidential Office added that negotiations on the exchange of prisoners have been going on for two weeks and are not related to Orban's statements.
