Ukrainian President Zelenskyy confirmed a phone conversation with former US President Trump. They agreed to discuss steps to achieve a just and lasting peace in Ukraine during a face-to-face meeting.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed on the X network that he had a conversation with former US President Donald Trump, UNN reports.

According to Zelenskyy, they agreed to discuss in person what steps could bring peace to Ukraine.
I spoke with Donald Trump to congratulate him on his Republican nomination and to condemn the shocking attempted assassination in Pennsylvania. I wished him strength and absolute safety in the future.
I recognized the vital bipartisan and bicameral support of the United States in defending our nation's freedom and independence.
Ukraine will always be grateful to the United States for its assistance in strengthening our ability to resist Russian terror. Every day, Russian attacks on our cities and villages continue.
We have agreed with President Trump to discuss in person what steps can make the peace just and truly lasting.
