Zelensky on F-16: “18 months have passed, and the planes have not arrived”

President Zelenskiy says Ukraine has not yet received the promised F-16 fighter jets needed to counter Russian air dominance.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine has not yet received the new F-16 fighter jets that are needed to help counter Russian air dominance. He said this in an exclusive interview with the BBC in London, UNN reports .
"It's been 18 months, and the planes have not arrived," Zelenskiy said, saying he was grateful for what was provided to Ukraine.
But he emphasized that the new fighter jets are needed to help counter Russian air dominance and "unlock the skies.

Earlier, Zelenskyy said that Ukraine needs to reduce training on F-16s , expand the base for F-16 training, and increase the number of aircraft in the near future, not in 3-5 years.
