Woman detained in Donetsk region for "passing on" data on Ukrainian Armed Forces positions in the Pokrovsk sector to Russia

A woman who collected intelligence for the Russian Federation on the location of Ukrainian troops was detained in Donetsk region. She faces up to 8 years in prison for unauthorized dissemination of information about the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Another Russian military intelligence informant was detained in Donetsk region. The offender was passing on to the aggressor the locations of the defense lines of the Ukrainian Armed Forces units in the Pokrovsk sector. This was stated by the Security Service of Ukraine, reports UNN.

Investigators found out that the Russian intelligence service remotely engaged its informant, a resident of Novohrodivka, to keep intelligence .

Detainee  was walking around the territory of the frontline community, where she recorded the locations of Ukrainian defenders.

The defendant also "secretly" obtained the information she needed during domestic conversations with residents of nearby villages.

The SBU CI exposed the enemy informant in a timely manner, documented her criminal actions and detained her in her own home. At the same time, comprehensive measures were taken to secure the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

During the searches of the detainee's home, a cell phone used by her in reconnaissance and subversive activities in favor of Russia was seized.

The SBU investigators served her a notice of suspicion under Part 2 Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (unauthorized dissemination of information on the movement or deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine). The attacker is in custody. She faces up to 8 years in prison

Law enforcement officers add that the enemy was most interested in the coordinates of fortifications and artillery positions that keep the occupiers' assault groups under fire control.

The Nazis needed the intelligence to prepare combat operations to break through the defense of Ukrainian troops on the hottest frontline.
