Day of Workers of the Sea and River Fleet
Also celebrated on the first Sunday of July. This is a professional holiday for all those who work on civilian vessels, in ports, and at ship repair plants, ensuring maritime and river logistics.
Day of Liberation of Kramatorsk and Sloviansk
It was on July 5, 2014, that Ukrainian troops, after prolonged battles, raised the blue-and-yellow flags over these cities, liberating them from pro-Russian militants.
World Bikini Day
On July 5, 1946, French designer Louis Réard presented a new two-piece swimsuit, which got its name from the Bikini Atoll (where nuclear tests were being conducted at the time). The design became a real "explosion" in the fashion world and forever changed beach culture.
