Germany is in an internal discussion about providing Ukraine with Taurus missiles, taking into account their range and programming. Zelensky expressed different views with Scholz, but stressed the constant work to reach an agreement.

Germany is debating whether to provide Ukraine with separate systems, in particular Taurus missiles. This was stated by Chancellor Olaf Scholz during a joint briefing with President Vladimir Zelensky, reports UNN.

Scholz was asked to explain why Germany does not comply with Ukraine's request to provide Taurus missiles.

"Regarding individual systems, we are debating whether to provide them or not. This applies to both the range and who can program them," Scholz said.

However, he said that this does not mean that Germany is weakening aid.

"It will continue to be very broad. We calculated until 2026, if we continued like this, we would equip 6 Ukrainian brigades," Scholz said.

President Zelensky, in turn, said that he and Scholz have many common views, but also have different ones on some issues.

"Olaf has a lot in common on some issues, there are different views on some issues. We are constantly working to ensure that we have more in common on the Taurus issue," Zelensky said.
