Approximately one-quarter of the world's maritime oil trade, as well as significant volumes of fuel and fertilizers, passes through the Strait of Hormuz.
The operation is also being coordinated with international partners under the Maritime Freedom Construct initiative, which involves strengthening cooperation between diplomatic and military structures to ensure security in the region.
