Ukraine's Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced specific agreements with Turkey on defense cooperation. The talks focused on security in the Black Sea region and the project to build corvettes for Ukraine.

Particular attention was paid to security in the Black Sea region. According to Umerov, developing the capabilities of the Navy and ensuring security in Ukrainian maritime spaces and the entire Black Sea region is one of Ukraine's priorities.
Takoye Umerov thanked Yashar Güler for his support of the project to build corvettes for Ukraine - Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky and Hetman Ivan Mazepa. He pointed out that the new corvettes will significantly strengthen our fleet and our ability to protect our maritime borders in the future.
